The Execution: How to Actually Vet an OEM

Stop asking for 'high quality'. That word means nothing in a sales brochure. If you're sourcing B2B, ask these three specific questions:

  • "Can I see the CCT binning report for this batch?" Professional factories can guarantee a tight Delta E variance across the shipment.
  • "What is the PWM frequency and randomization logic?" If they can't explain the circuitry, they're just using off-the-shelf junk.
  • "Is the wax cladding real paraffin or a plastic composite?" Real wax diffuses light naturally; composites create hotspots.
